Assalamu Alaikum,

I’ve started memorizing and reflecting on Surah Ar-Rahman.

To keep it simple, I break it down for daily review and share my progress online.

This beautiful Surah has a unique structure that's easy to understand.

I'm not diving into Arabic grammar, just using the Quran and online resources like YouTube and Google, along with my personal reflections.

Let's begin.

55 - Surah Ar-Rahman

Day 1: Verse 1 - 4

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ

Ar-Rahman 55:1

ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ

The Most Merciful

Ar-Rahman 55:2

عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ

Taught the Quran,

Ar-Rahman 55:3

خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ

Created man

Ar-Rahman 55:4

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ

[And] taught him eloquence.

The first beginning section that I reviewed today (verse 1 to 4).

Out of all HIS names, Allah specifically chose Ar-Rahman to begin the Surah, which literally means "The Most Merciful, The Most Kind."

Out of HIS Mercy and kindness – Ar-Rahman:

  1. 📖 Taught the QURAN, a true guidance for all of humanity.
  2. 👥 Created MANKIND; no one else can create what He has created.
  3. 🗣️ Taught humans eloquent SPEECH.

The Quran, as guidance for all, and creation of mankind along with the gift of eloquent speech are all blessings from the Mercy of Ar-Rahman.
