How I Fixed a Sony ZV1 SD Card Slot Issue for FREE (DO NOT ATTEMPT AT HOME!)

If you’ve ever come across a Sony ZV1 or any other camera with an SD card slot issue, you know how frustrating it can be.
I bought a used Sony ZV1 from Facebook Marketplace that had this exact problem.
The previous owner originally purchased it for $800 but was selling it because the SD card wouldn’t insert. They were quoted around $200 for a repair, but I managed to fix it for FREE with a simple trick!

- Inserted an empty SD card reader – I carefully pushed an empty SD card reader into the SD card slot. Make sure you remove any elements before inserting the card.
- Forced it in gently – With a little pressure, I was able to push it all the way in and take it out.
- Inserted the real SD card – After clearing the path, I tried inserting a real SD card… and it worked perfectly!

I didn’t have to replace any parts, and I saved $200 on repairs!
