The Story of the Jinn
A True Account of Fear, Faith, and the Unseen
This is not fiction. It’s a true story that happened to me and my family—not in some far-off land, but here in our home, in our safe space. I do not even wish on my enemy to go through this situation. If you are in a similar situation, be aware and cautious — protect your family and loved ones and do not stay in a property where there is a presence that is unexplainable.
But if you ever encounter the strange, the unseen, or the unexplained…
This is your reminder: seek refuge in Allah.
This is a true story, not a work of fiction.
Since childhood, I’ve always been fascinated by the unseen world.
I always wished to see things beyond our imagination and the scope of this life.
I wanted to witness the activities of Jinn, feel their presence, and loved watching horror movies. But I never expected the unseen to come into my life this way.
Backstory: How It All Got Started…
I noticed that Allah (God) has always been the most merciful in granting my wishes and desires. And while this is a horror story — it is, in many ways, still a miracle.
We bought a new single-family home.
The house had been empty for a while.
The owner — an elderly woman — never lived in it, though the furniture was still there. The realtor told us the house would sell quickly. It was owned by her mother before her.
The price was lower than we expected, and despite the owner looking sad and worried, we loved the house and proceeded with the purchase.
We bought it in 30 days and got the keys.
We were super happy — finally, our own home!
Strange Things Start the Day We Move In
We began moving our stuff. That’s when things started.
The First Incident: The Strawberry Milkshake Explosion
The day we brought a U-Haul to move furniture, we stopped for McDonald’s.
My son placed his strawberry milkshake in the utility room.
While we were carrying in furniture — BOOMMMM! A loud bang came from inside.
We rushed in and saw the milkshake had been smashed across the wall like someone threw it with force.
At first, we thought it had fallen — a kid’s mistake.
We ignored it and cleaned it up.
I Set Up My Home Office and Played Quran Daily
I converted one of the rooms into my home office and began working remotely.
I’d play Surah Al-Baqarah while I worked. That room felt peaceful. Calm. We even slept there on the floor. No bed, just a sense of safety.
That room stayed untouched.
While the rest of the house grew darker and heavier, that room—filled with Qur’an—felt protected. I believe now, it was a shield.
The Second Incident: I Was Alone at Home One Night
My wife had to go to the hospital due to her pregnancy. I told her to stay at my parents’ place and rest. I stayed alone at home.
That night, I tried to sleep in the living room — but I couldn’t. I felt like someone was there. Like I was being watched. I left the lights on and played movies all night. I only fell asleep after 5 AM for maybe an hour or two.
When I woke up, I made breakfast. Eggs, tea, and bread. I left the cup near the kitchen sink and walked a few steps away.
Suddenly — TINGGGGG!
A sharp sound, like someone hitting the cup with a spoon.
I turned around. No one there.
I checked the cup.
Nothing could have made that sound.
That’s when I truly felt something else was there.
Still, I kept quiet. Didn’t tell anyone — not even my wife.
Strange Sleeping Patterns Begin
When my wife returned, she couldn’t sleep at night.
She stayed up walking around.
She blamed pregnancy discomfort, but I also couldn’t sleep.
We moved from the office to the living room to sleep — it was more spacious.
But sleep was still hard to come by. She only managed naps during the day.
Frogs at the House — Everywhere
From the day we moved in, we saw frogs.
On the windows, driveway, front and back yard.
At first, we thought it was because of the nearby lake.
But these frogs didn’t behave normally. They didn’t run when we got close.
We had to push them with brooms, especially near the front door and windows.
One day, I parked my wife’s car on the grass near the house. We took it to my parents’ the next day. On the highway, my wife screamed — frogs were coming out of the AC vents. Tiny frogs. We stopped the car and opened the doors. Frogs were everywhere — in the vents, on the windows. It was not normal.
When we returned home, we again saw frogs on the front door.
We tried using the broom. They didn’t move.
We Installed Hurricane Shutters — Made It Worse
Thinking it might be a security risk, we decided to install hurricane shutters on all windows.
That was a mistake.
It made the house darker and scarier.
We began hearing sounds from the kitchen and utility room — like things falling or being thrown.
Loud Sounds and Plates Falling
One day, during the day, my wife brought me food.
Suddenly, we heard a loud crash.
We went to the kitchen — all the paper plates stacked on top of the fridge had fallen — upside down.
She said there was no air or breeze. I brushed it off — maybe AC, maybe coincidence.
Another time around 3 PM, we were trying to nap.
I woke up to another loud noise. Ran to the utility room — shelves had collapsed again. Always while we tried to sleep.
Sleep Deprivation and 2:55 AM Activity
We became sleep deprived.
A whole month passed like this.
Then, something new happened.
Every night, around 2:55 AM, the darkest part of the night, strange things occurred.
My son — who normally slept fine — started talking in his sleep.
We would hush him, but he continued. It became regular. I asked my wife why he was doing that. He had never done that before.
The Frog-Touch Experience (Two Nights in a Row)
One night, exhausted, I fell asleep in the living room.
My wife was walking in the hallway.
I was sleeping on my stomach when suddenly I felt something jump on the back of my neck. Like a frog.
I woke up panicking, looked everywhere — nothing.
Checked the floor, mattress, pillow — no frog. It was exactly 2:55 AM.
I said nothing. Maybe a bad dream?
The next night, my wife slept in the bedroom while I was in the living room.
At 2:55 AM, she screamed and ran to me.
She said a frog jumped on her cheek. But there was nothing. She was terrified.
I hugged her and played Surah Baqarah on YouTube. The moment it played, we both felt peace. The heavy feeling lifted. Around 5 AM, we finally fell asleep.
At 7 AM, we packed and left for my parents’ house.
While driving, I told her — the same thing happened to me the night before.
She cried. She said it’s Jinn — and we are invading their space.
They're trying to make us leave.
The Camera
Out of caution, I set up a camera in the living room. It recorded 24/7—both sound and motion. What I saw chilled me to the bone.
The footage showed strange movements. Like wind. But inside the house. Something invisible. At night, the camera would shake or shift—almost like something tried to push it, or enter through the front.
But it couldn’t. Something kept it back.
No figures. No faces. But sounds. Movements. Disturbances.
Every morning, I checked the footage. The same weird patterns. Over and over again.
It was real. But not of this world.
The Power of the Quran
Out of fear and desperation, I did the only thing I truly trusted: I turned to the Qur’an.
I played Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat al-Kursi, Surah Al-Falaq, and An-Naas loudly in the house—nonstop for seven days. The words of Allah echoed through every wall, every corner.
And then, peace.
The frogs disappeared. The camera recordings stopped showing anything strange. The air felt lighter. No more noises. No more shadowy movement. No more fear.
It was gone.
How to Protect Yourself from Jinn
If you or your loved ones ever encounter strange, unexplainable things—don’t panic. Don’t ignore the signs. And don’t rely on superstition.
Use what Allah has given us:
Spiritual Protection Checklist:
- Surah Al-Baqarah – Recite or play it regularly at home. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not turn your houses into graves. Verily, Shaytan does not enter the house where Surah Al-Baqarah is recited.” (Sahih Muslim)
- Ayat al-Kursi – Recite it after every obligatory prayer and before sleeping.
- Pray the 5 daily prayers on time – Nothing protects like a strong connection with Allah.
- Surah Al-Falaq & Surah An-Naas – Recite them three times in the morning and evening, and before bed.
- Keep your wudu (ablution) – The Prophet ﷺ said that angels stay close to a person in a state of purity.
- Say Aozubillah and Bismillah before entering your home and before eating or drinking.
The Lesson
We learned that not every house is just wood and brick. Some carry residents we cannot see.
But we also learned this: Allah is Greater.
No Jinn, no whisper, no shadow in the night has power over a heart that turns to Allah. We began playing the Quran more. We prayed. We recited Ayat al-Kursi and the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah each night.
And with time, the fear faded. Peace returned. Eventually, we made the difficult decision to leave the house due to work relocation. We moved somewhere new.
The Ending Is Not Fear—But Faith
Yes, this was a horror story. But more than that—it was a reminder that Allah is Greater than any fear, any whisper, any jinn.
If you face something similar—don’t run. Stand. Pray. Protect yourself with the Qur’an. Trust Allah.
“Indeed, over My (believing) servants you have no authority.” — Surah Al-Hijr, 15:42
The jinn are real. But so is Allah’s mercy. And He is the Best of Protectors.
